Jennifer Lynn Hahn Brock was born in Chico, California and raised in Northern California; Beaumont, Texas and Fresno, California. After graduating from Bullard High School in Fresno, she attended Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, graduating in 2002 with a degree in elementary education. It was during college that she developed a passion to reach at-risk children.

After college, Jennifer moved to El Cerrito, CA to teach fourth and fifth grade students at Castro Elementary in El Cerrito, California, pouring her heart into her many underprivileged students. It was here that she met, and later married the love of her life, Curtis Brock in 2003. Jennifer and Curtis relocated to Sacramento in 2006, where she was a much loved fourth grade teacher at F.C. Joyce Elementary in North Highlands.

Jenny loved outdoor activities such as cross country skiing, kayaking, biking, swimming and gardening with her husband Curtis. She was passionate about traveling, teaching children, languages and living each day to the fullest. It was Jenny and Curtis' plan to include foster care children in their home, rather than having their own children, as she was so dedicated to care for the children who were most in need. Her faith and love for others was a tremendous inspiration to many, and she brought incredible joy, light and hope to many children. She died very suddenly at the age of 26, but the beauty, love, joy and compassion with which she lived her life will certainly outlast her short time with us.

It is our wish to see Jenny's devotion and love for underprivileged kids live on, and to help sponsor a child in need attend summer camp is something Jenny would be honored to be a part of.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey and Kathy Hahn
